NOTICE:

As of February, 2012 I am no longer taking appointments. It's been a great 10 years but the time has come for me to move on to other adventures in life. I appreciate all of the clients I've had the opportunity to work with over the years and look forward to staying in contact.

Thank you.
-Mike

introduction

I am a Portland, Oregon based photographer specializing in Glamour, Boudoir, Pregnancy and Artistic Nude photography.
If you're new to my site here's a brief introduction:

Style

My style tends to be heavy on shadows and contrast. This isn't expressed in every image obviously but I definitely have a preference for selective lighting. Take a look at my gallery for samples of my work to see for yourself.

I update my gallery pages occasionally, for one reason or another, so be sure to check back at least every once in awhile.

NOTE: All images in my gallery and in my printed portfolio are of individuals who have granted me permission to use them publicly. Due to the sensitive subject, images of clients without permission are never shared with outside parties.

Location

I'm located in Portland, Oregon. My studio is located inside the "Broadway Studios", conveniently located near the Rosegarden Arena and Lloyd Center Mall in NE Portland.

Client Comments

"The first time I came across Mike's ad about photographing 'Older Women' I was skeptical, as most women would be...but I looked at his work, and was very impressed with what I saw. I really like his style, and his use of light. We emailed a few times back and forth, and then I met him. He is just like his style; very professional, very at ease. And he does just that, he makes you feel relaxed when you model for him...and the pictures are great! I am a professional woman that is reaching 45 and the pictures Mike took were very flattering, and gave me an ego boost that I needed (being a mom of 3, working woman, and no time for herself). I highly recommend Mike Burry. His style, execution, and time he spends with you will make you feel like 'a million'!"
